Syfy 2011 Image Campaign
Syfy commissioned Colourmovie to design a network image spot to showcase the new and returning shows of the 2011 season. As a shift in tone from the "white space" of previous Syfy image spots, the network wanted to explore the "darker side of Syfy," and create something new for the brand.

Our approach was to explore what is beneath the surface of Syfy and create a bold and distinctive look for 2011. The familiar white space explodes revealing a new, deeper side of the network. In the debris we see a beautiful and intricate particle system as it emanates from the blast to reveal the network's new 2011 line up of programming. Bursts of particles stitch the scenes together, build on titles, and create fluid transitions.

The spot was successful for the network in creating a new dimension to the strong Syfy brand. As an extension of this image spot, Syfy also asked Colourmovie to expand the piece for placement in the Syfy Upfronts presentation.
